<p>Objective: to obtain a bioactive hydroxyapatite film-coated body implant component which exhibits an excellent body tissue compatibility, sufficiently high strengths, and a high design freedom. Composition: it consists of a substrate which has been molded into the shape of a body implant component and a hydroxyapatite film which is formed on the substrate surface by dipping the substrate into an organic polymer solution which contains an inorganic filler powder at least 80 wt% of which is accounted for by particles with sizes of 3-100 νm and the weight ratio of which with respect to the organic polymer (in a dry state) is 1-30 and by subsequently immersing said substrate into an aqueous hydroxyapatite solution with a virtually saturated or supersaturated concentration.</p> |
