Gas pressure-operated seal on drive level or projectile floor - has seal disc deformable by gas pressure and light metal pressure disc

The gas pressure-operated seal at the floor of the projectile prevents slip gases with an absolute seal of the projectile as it passes through the weapon barrel. A deformable sealing disc is provided, pref. of plastic which has high friction strength, heat and cold resistance. A pressure disc is used which is pref. of light metal. A fixture screw with a guide shaft is for central guiding of the sealing disc and the pressure disc which are arranged axially displaceable on the guide shaft. The complete seal with an affixed spring clamp on the projectile floor is connected to the latter within the casing mouth or charge chamber. USE/ADVANTAGE - To provide absolute seal of a projectile as it passes through the weapon barrel.
