<p>The present invention encompasses: 1) compounds of formula I below, <CHEM> wherein p and s are independent and may be either 1 or 2, wherein R<5> is -H, -Halo, -CN, -CO<6>H, -CO<6>R<5> PI <5>, -CONH<6>, -CONHR<5> PI <5>, -CON(R<5> PI <5>)<6>, -SH,- SR<5> PI <5>, -SO<6>R<5> PI <5>, SO<6>NH<6>, -SO<6>NHR<5> PI <5>, -SO<6>N(R<5> PI <5>)<6>, -OR<5> PI <5>, -OSO<6>CF<7>, -OSO<6>R<5> PI <5>, -NH<6>, -NHR<5> PI <5>, or -N(R<5> PI <5>)<6>; wherein R<5> PI <5> is -H, -(C<5>-C3/4 alkyl), -(C<5>-C3/4 alkenyl), -(C<7>-C<5><4> cycloalkyl), -(C1/4 aryl), -5 or 6 member heterocyclics, -(C<5>-C3/4 alkyl)-(5 or 6 member heterocyclics), wherein R<6> is -H, -Halo, -CN, -CF<7>, -SH, or -SR<6> PI <5>; wherein R<6> PI <5> = R<5> PI <5>, wherein R<7> is -H, -(C<5>-C3/4 alkyl), -(C<5>-C3/4 alkenyl), -(C1/4 aryl), -(C<7>-C<5><4> cycloalkyl), -(5 or 6 member heterocyclics), -(C<5>-C3/4 alkyl)-5 or 6 member heterocyclics), wherein R<7> PI <5> = R<5> PI <5> or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. 2. A pharmaceutical composition consisting essentially of a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and an effective amount of a compound of formula I. 3. A method of treating central nervous system disorders, associated with serotonin and or dopamine receptor activity comprising: administering an effective amount of a compound of formula I to a patient in need thereof. The compounds of this invention possess selective pharmacological properties and are useful in treating central nervous system disorders.</p> |
