PURPOSE:To obtain an image having high sensitivity and excellent stability by adding a thermoplastic resin, an isocyanate compound and a tin compound to the image receiving layer provided on a support and receiving a heat- transfer dye from the dye donating layer of a thermal transfer dye donating material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer image receiving material used in a thermal transfer recording method is formed by providing an image receiving layer receiving the heat-transfer dye transferred from the dye donating layer of the thermal transfer dye donating material by the application of heat to the upper surface of a support. In this case, a thermoplastic resin, an isocyanate compound and a tin compound are added to the image receiving layer. As the thermoplastic resin, one having an ester bond is used. As the isocyanate compound, a diisocyanate compound is used and, as the tin compound, stanneous chloride is used. By this constitution, the thermal transfer image receiving material capable of obtaining an image having high sensitivity and storage stability is obtained. |
