CATALYST FOR DISPROPORTIONATING OLEFIN AND OLEFIN DISPROPORTIONATION METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To keep activity for a long period and to increase yield by using a catalyst consisting essentially of a specified silica gel and carrying specified amts. of tungsten oxide and group I oxide as the first catalytic component and mixing an alumina having a limited specific surface into the first catalytic component as the second catalytic component in a specified weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:The first catalytic component is obtained by depositing 1-10wt.% of the tungsten oxide or its precursor as the oxide and 0.01-2wt.% of a group I oxide or a compd. convertible to the oxide as the oxide on a carrier silica gel contg. >=99wt.% SiO2 and having >=100m<2>/g specific surface. The second catalytic component obtained by depositing 0-3.0wt.% of a group I oxide or a compd. convertible to the oxide as the oxide and 0-5.0wt.% of a group III oxide or a compd. convertible to the oxide as the oxide on the alumina having 20-120m<2>/g specific surface is mixed into the first catalytic component by 8-75 times in weight to obtain the disproportionation catalyst.
