PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a motion sensor and enable detection of the moving speed of paper sheets by using the motion sensor as a paper sheet detecting device to be arranged in way of a paper sheets transporting passage. CONSTITUTION:In order to detect paper sheets to be discharged from a fixing device 1, a motion sensor 10 is arranged at a paper sheets guide part 20, and a wheel 11 of the motion sensor is pushingly pressed against the paper sheets, and the wheel is rotated in a condition following the moving speed of the paper sheets. The motion sensor 10 is constituted as a unit which is combined with the wheel 11, a photosensor, weight members or the like. The unit is supported by a supporting frame 18 through an arm member 16, and a pushingly pressing action of the wheel against the paper sheets is realized by the self weight of the motion sensor and the weight members. An arrangement is made so that detection of the moving speed of the paper sheets may be realized by arranging the motion sensor unit in an arbitrary position in the paper sheets transporting passage. |
