PURPOSE:To determine optimum order of mounting of components using a single parameter by arranging cassette groups in the order of the speed of mounting, and aligning pairs within the same group, and determining the order of alignment of the cassettes, and then using only the order of mounting of components as a parameter. CONSTITUTION:Component cassettes from which components are fed are grouped according to the speed of mounting applied to each group. Within each group of cassettes those to be mounted in a larger number and those to be mounted in a smaller number on the same substrate are made in pairs so that when cassettes within the same group are made in pairs the pairs are equal in the total of components mounted. The groups of cassettes are aligned in the order of the speed of mounting and the cassettes are aligned by pairs within the same group. The order of mounting is determined in view of the distance by which the components in each of the pairs thus arranged are moved when mounted on a substrate, so that the total time required for mounting the components is minimized. |
