PURPOSE:To enhance the light fastness of an optical recording medium capable of being regenerated by means of a compact disk player by adding a substance mainly absorbing a laser beam and a substance mainly deactivating singlet oxygen to the recording layer laminated on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording medium is formed by successively laminating a recording layer 2 absorbing semiconductor laser beam to perform photoelectric conversion and a metal reflecting film 3 for increasing reflectivity to the upper surface of a transparent substrate 1 having a pregroup 1a formed thereto if necessary. If necessary, a protective film 4 composed of an ultraviolet curable resin is provided. In this constitution, the recording layer 2 contains a first substance composed of a cyanine dye mainly absorbing laser beam and a second substance composed of amine or a nickel complex mainly deactivating singlet oxygen. By this method, the light fastness of the optical recording medium capable of being regenerated by means of a compact disk player is enhanced. |
