<p>PURPOSE:To suppress brake performance from worsening due to a swing by improving a piston opposed-disk brake, with a number of cylinders minimum four in all, to suppress the swing of calipers by tangential force at braking time. CONSTITUTION:When assumed A for area of a disk turn-in side cylinder of an inner caliper 1, B for area of a disk turn-in side cylinder 4 of an outer caliper 2, C for area of a disk turn-outside cylinder 5 of the inner caliper and D for area of a disk turn-outside cylinder 6 of the outer caliper, at least either relation where A>B or C<D is realized. Since shaft force acting on the cylinder becomes FA>-FB, FC<FD by a difference between these cylinder areas to generate moment M2 of negating angular moment M1 generated by tangential forces fi, fo, twist deformation of a mounting part 14 is decreased, and a caliper swing is reduced to prevent also destruction of the mounting part 14.</p> |
