<p>PURPOSE:To provide an internal combustion engine with a supercharger which can enhance the purifying rate of a catalystic converter without deteriorating fuel consumption in an early stage at the time of idling, and thereby enhance exhaust gas performance. CONSTITUTION:A device is made up of a supercharger 3, a supercharging pressure regulating valve 5 regulating supercharging pressure, a step motor 6 driving the regulating valve 5, an ECU 7 controlling the motor, a catalystic converter 32 provided for an exhaust system, and of a temperature sensor 21 detecting the temperature of the catalystic converter. When the temperature of the catalystic converter 32 detected by the temperature sensor 21 at the time of idling is lower than a specified one, the ECU 7 controls the supercharging pressure regulating valve 5 in such a way that supercharging pressure shall be a target supercharging pressure corresponding to the temperature of the catalystic converter.</p> |
