摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound in high purity and efficiency without raw material loss by culture of an alkylnaphthalene compound in a medium using a specific kind of microorganisms. CONSTITUTION:The objective naphthalenecarboxylic acid compound can be obtained in high yield and efficiency without raw material loss by culture of an alkylnaphthalene compound in a medium using the microorganisms (FERM P-11754) proliferative as carbon source, in one of aliphatic hydrocarbons, organic acids (salts), alcohols, ketones and saccharides and also highly oxidative to the alkylnaphthalene compound.
