PURPOSE:To ensure torque transmission even at the time of leakage of operating oil by providing a lock member for directly connecting both rotary members when leakage of the operating oil is detected in a joint between the two rotary members connected by the joint, in the case of a rotational speed difference sensing joint for a drive torque distribution device or the like of a 4-wheel drive vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When leakage of oil is generated in a rotational speed difference sensing joint C1, press contact force against a cam surface 10a of a drive piston 11 disappears to move rightward a lock hub 25 pressed by a spring 29. The drive piston 11 is pressed down to the bottom dead center by a sensor protrusion 25c to restrict a stroke toward the cam surface 10a of the drive piston 11. By serration connection with the lock hub 25, a housing 10 is directly connected to a rotor 12 through the lock hub 25. Accordingly, even when leakage of operating oil is generated, torque transmission can be ensured.
