<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost ink jet recorder by which a recording speed can be improved and an ideal image can be stably obtained. CONSTITUTION:While recording liquid 1 is not jetted out, a voltage applied to a discrete electrode 4 is kept by a voltage applying device 7. The voltage generates an electric field in the recording liquid 1 between the discrete electrode 4 and a common electrode 5. The electric field increases the viscosity of viscosity changing liquid in the recording liquid 1. When the voltage application is interrupted, the electric field in the recording liquid 1 is eliminated, the viscosity of the viscosity changing liquid in the recording liquid 1 is lowered, and the recording liquid 1 is jetted out of a jet-out hole 3 to adhere to recording paper 8.</p> |
