CONSTITUTION:A cam changing mechanism 74 receives a cam change demand under normal conditions based on operating conditions and changes a cam, and a transmission control means 76 performs transmission control using a transmission control quantity to achieve a selected gear position when a gear position change is determined. In the meanwhile, if a neutral period exists in the middle of the transmission control or not based on the operating conditions, and a synchronous/nonsynchronous control means 78 synchronizes the transmission control and the normal condition cam change based on the operating conditions to complete the cam change when the neutral period exists based on a result, while it sets the transmission control and the normal condition can change based on the operating conditions to be nonsynchronous when the neutral period does not exist.</p>
