<p>PURPOSE:To perform assembly of a car simply and certainly by coupling an upper and a lower body shell, installing thereto a side door, trunk lid, and back door, and then installing a understructural unit consisting of a front suspension and engine. CONSTITUTION:To assemble a car, an upper and a lower BU, BL among other body shells B are first assembled separately. Then the under-body part BD embodied either in a single piece with or separately from the front body part BF of the lower body shell BL is moved backward relative to the upper body shell BU, and the left and right ends of a front floor 1 are engaged by a left and a right receptacles, and the two body shells are joined together. After joining the body shells BU, BL, at least one of the side door, trunk lid, and back door is installed to the body shell(s). Then the specified understructural unit, not illustrated, is installed to the body shell(s).</p> |
