<p>PURPOSE:To prevent any drag loss during idle run by forming on the outer circumference of a friction plate a fin thinner than a friction plate to project from the outer circumference inside the rotating plane of the friction plate. CONSTITUTION:Wet type friction plates 24a-24c are fitted in a plurality of spline grooves 2b formed on a hub cylinder 2c in its axial direction and plates 8a-8d are arranged between respective friction plates 24a-24c. Lubricating oil is filled between the friction plates 24a-24c and the plates 8a-8d inside a drum 10, and the friction plates 24a-24c and the plates 8a-8d are mutually pressed by motion of a piston 14 so as to transmit torque to an output shaft 2. The friction plates 24a-24c are formed by sticking friction plates 32a, 32b on both faces of a core metal 30, and a fin A of an isosceles triangular section projecting on the full circumference of the core metal 30 is formed. This fin A is rotated together with the friction plate 24 in the lubricating oil so as to always receive resistance of the lubricating oil, and hence the friction plate is always in its idle run in correct posture de to resistance against inclination of the friction plate.</p> |
