<p>PURPOSE:To provide an automobile body transporting device, which can enhance greatly the working effectiveness of the outfitting work for the front body part. CONSTITUTION:A lower body shell is transported on an outfit line L to perform outfit to a front body part BF including a dash panel 2 and a cowl member 1 and included in a lower body shell BL constituting a part of the body shell of an automobile, and a transport device to make this transportation of the lower body shell is equipped with a mobile dolly 20 traveling along the outfit line BL and a retention mechanism 21 which is arranged on the dolly 20 and which retains the lower body shell BL with possibility of attitude changing-over from a normal horizontal attitude to an upright attitude, in which the cowl member 1 and dash panel 2 are upward facing approx. horizontall, and vice versa. Also the lower body shell BL may include at least a front floor, or may consist of front body part BF.</p> |
