PURPOSE:To make a connection automatically by correcting shrinkage in the side peripheral part of tread rubber at the time of overlap-connecting at their both end parts two tread rubbers transported in alignment with each other front to rear. CONSTITUTION:On a sliding table 15 capable of coming-in and out on both sides of a transportation path for tread rubbers 11, 12, a support roller 22 and an elevating press roller 26 are installed in up-and-down opposed relation, and the press roller 26 is attached with a brake 27, and between the press roller 26 and support roller 22, the side peripheral part of the tread rubber 12 is held, wherein by stopping rotation of the press roller 26 through the brake 27 and moving the sliding table 15, the side peripheral part of the tread rubber 12 is pulled into extension. Subsequently, while keeping the holding state, the brake 27 is released so as to move the sliding table 15 to thereby press-bond the overlapped parts of the tread rubbers 11, 12. |
