<p>PURPOSE:To provide the above device well-balanced between the coefficient of linear expansion of an insulating substrate composed of ceramics and that of a heat sink. CONSTITUTION:A carbon fiber reinforced aluminum alloy is used as the heat sink 20 of a thermal head and an insulating substrate 2 is provided on the heat sink 20 and a resistor 4 and wiring patterns 5a,5b are provided thereon through a glaze layer 3. By this constitution, radiation characteristics are enhanced and the warpage of the head due to the difference between the coefficients of linear expansion of a different kind of materials can be reduced.</p> |
