摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the fuel consumption, facilitate the make external control, and obviate rotary seals by connecting one element of a differential device to an input shaft of an oil pump, and by providing a controllable variable orifice in the discharge line of the oil pump. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 12 from an engine and a propeller shaft 10 are connected directly to a side gear 14 of a differential device 13, and a side gear 15 is connected to a drive sprocket 16. When a rotational difference between both of the side gears 14 and 15 has been produced through pinion mated gears 19 and 20, a differential case 21 is rotated. A gear 22 is connected to this differential case 21 and is meshed with the gear 25 fixed to the input shaft 24 of an oil pump 23. A variable orifice 30 is provided in the discharge line 29 for giving a resistance against the rotation of the differential case 21. Consequently, the oil pump 23 is operated only when the differential motion has been produced. Thus, specific fuel consumption is improved, and external control can be done easily, and rotary seals can be obviated.
