PURPOSE:To protect an operator against an electric shock to be inflicted to him due to his careless touch on a printing head after opening a protective cover, in a printing device equipped with a piezoelectric element using high voltage. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor C for elimination of a noise is provided between the power supply side terminal of a piezoelectric element using high voltage and an earth. In addition, a protection switch SW is installed between the power supply side terminal and a power supply. The protection switch SW turns to a shutoff state, if a protective cover is opened. Further, resistors R are installed in parallel on the capacitor C. Subsequently, if the protection switch is set to a shutoff state, and electric charge accumulated by the capacitor C is rapidly discharged. |
