<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method of assembling an automobile, with which the outfit operations for a car body and side doors can be simplified to a great extent and lids and front fenders can be installed to the body easily and well- balanced. CONSTITUTION:Outfit is made to a body shell B and side doors 12, 13 separately, and a bonnet 10 and the side doors 12, 13 are installed to the body shell B, wherein the rear side door 13 is installed upon locating by reference to a rear fender 18 while the front side door 12 is installed upon locating by reference to rear side door 13. To the body shell B, front fenders 14 are installed while the gaps between the front side door 12 and front fender 14 and between the bonnet 10 and front fender 14. The body shell B is split into an under-body structure and an upper body structure, and the two body structures after being outfitted are joined together, and then lids and the front fenders 14 are installed to the body shell B.</p> |
