PURPOSE:To provide a combined machine tool capable of subjecting workpieces to rational and optimum machining following a predetermined reference. CONSTITUTION:This combined machine tool has a cutting main spindle head 16 provided via a first column 12 on a base 10 installed on a working floor face, a laser beam machining converging head 18 provided via a second column 14 on the base 10, and a rotary work station 20 provided via the second column 14 on the base 10; the main spindle head 16 moves within a rectangular three- axes coordinate system on the base 10 to perform cutting and the converging head 18 similarly moves within a rectangular three-axes coordinate system on the base 10 to perform laser beam machining. The work station 20 is secured to a horizontal shaft 40 supported to the second column 14 and is driven by a rotary drive motor or the like and is provided with a work pallet 44 to hold workpieces. |
