The present invention relates to a mechanical device for reducing the stresses induced by the masses of the guide members in alternating motion along the thread winding frame of a rotor spinning machine in which the multiplicity of threads to be wound is controlled by a plurality of thread guides having rapid alternating movements, and the said mechanical device consists of at least a lever system for accumulating the energy of alternating movement and returning it in an elastic way, by means of elastic elements of which at least one is subjected to traction and of which at least two are subject to compression and the said elastic compression and traction elements act simultaneously in each stage of accumulation and return with superimposition in time.
