<p>PURPOSE:To measure the depth of a target by adding a frequency analyzer, a spectrum width detector, a target bearing information device, an airplane bearing meter, and a geomagnetism dip angle meter for calculating the depth of the target. CONSTITUTION:When the output wave-form signal of a magnetic detector 1 is judged as a target by a magnetic detection signal processing device 2, the frequency component of the wave-form signal is decomposed by a frequency analyzer 3, and the index of the spectrum width (SPW) is detected by a spectrum width detector 4. The optimum proportional constant k1 for slant range calculation is selected from outputs of a target bearing information device 5, an airplane bearing meter 6, and a geomagnetism dip angle meter 7 by a proportional constant k1 selecting device 8. The SPW, proportional constant k1, and the output of an airplane speed meter 9 are inputted to a slant range arithmetic unit 10 for preset calculation, and the distance between the target and a position directly above the target at the altitude of the airplane is calculated. The altitude of the airplane above the sea level is detected by an airplane altimeter 11, and the depth of the target is displayed on an indicator 13 via a subtracter 12.</p> |
