PURPOSE:To eliminate defective connections on the periphery of a temporary connecting terminal without deteriorating connecting strength by giving slits to the temporary connecting terminal to divide the terminal into the desired number of terminal pieces in order to make the thermal conduction equal to or less than that of a fine pitch terminal. CONSTITUTION:The external circumference of a thin film display element 1 is provided with a plurality of fine pitch terminals 3 having desired interval and a temporary connecting terminal 4. In order to equalize the thermal conduction of the temporary connecting terminal 4 to that of fine pitch terminals 3, cutout portions are provided to divide the terminal into terminal pieces so that the applied heat can no longer escape therefrom. A flexible wiring substrate 2 is also provided with fine pitch terminals 5 and temporary connecting terminal 6 and this temporary connecting terminal 6 is provided with cutout portions. The thin film display element 1 and flexible wiring substrate 2 are temporarily fixed with each other because a solder 7 melts when the temporary connecting terminals 4, 6 are heated. Therefore, these are entirely heated and thereby the solder 7 of the fine pitch terminals 3, 5 is also melted to connect respective terminals. Thereby, defective connections on the periphery of temporary connecting terminals can be eliminated. |
