PURPOSE: To provide a method and system for attaining remote maintenance and error restoration of terminal devices in dispersion data processing networks. CONSTITUTION: A monitor application is set at an end and stagnating residence mode at the selected terminal devices 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 of the networks 10, 12 of the remote maintenance and error restoration method and apparatus for a plurality of terminal devices 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 interconnected to each other within the dispersion data processing networks 10, 12. The monitor application addresses are listed into a user appendage cooperating with error or reconstituted messages, etc., within the network interfaces of the terminal devices in response with the error, reconstitution or network state messages received by the terminal devices 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, by which the monitor application is automatically called in and the error messages are displayed. The calling in of the applications or processing procedures selected independently from the respective applications is made possible to the monitor application. |
