The circuit for transmitting the image signal of A-TV by using the existing TV frequency band (6MHz) comprises: a section (100) dividing the compressed horizontal factor into the low pass, the middle pass, and the high pass horizontal compressed band after filtering the input signal; a section re-dividing the compressed vertical factor into the sub-band range from the first band (LL) to the sixth band (HL). The filtering method uses the quodrature mirror filter (QMF) including a latch and an adder.
