PURPOSE:To provide a secondary battery using lithium as active substance with a high capacity and enhance the cycle characteristics by using an innovated carbonic material in the neg. electrode of the secondary battery. CONSTITUTION:The neg. electrode of a secondary battery is formed from a carbonic material, whose inter-layer distance. d-value, of the plane (002) ranges 3.39-3.62Angstrom and real density 1.70-2.20g/cc. Also in this carbonic material, the magnitude of the crystal lattice in the C-axis direction ranges 10-50Angstrom and the specific surface area 2-50 m<3>/g. |
