PURPOSE:To miniaturize equipment and to simplify handling by providing a direction adjusting mechanism in which a light emitting part and a light receiving part transmitting/receiving infrared rays are housed in a head part with a light emission circuit and a light reception circuit, and which directs the head part in an arbitrary communication direction at a header part. CONSTITUTION:A main body part 4 is coupled with the head part 8 mechanically via the header part 6. A horizontal direction adjusting mechanism 20 which adjusts the head part 8 in a horizontal direction and an up/down direction adjusting mechanism 22 which adjusts it in up/down directions are installed at the header part 6 as the direction adjusting mechanism. The light emission circuit 28 and the light reception circuit 30 are installed at the head part 8 with the light emitting part 24 which emits the infrared rays representing data to be transmitted and the light receiving part 26 which receives transmitted infrared rays. Since the light emission circuit 28 and the light reception circuit 30 are provided at the head part 8, it is possible to reduce the size of the main body part 4, and the handling of the equipment can be simplified because the direction adjusting mechanism is provided at the header part 6. |
