<p>PURPOSE:To provide a low-cost electrophotographic toner excellent in picture image characteristics, fixing characteristics, storage stability and resistance against vinyl chloride plasticizer by using a specified polyester resin as the main constitutional component of the binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The toner contains 40-95mol% of terephthalic acid or its deriv.(a), 5-80mol% of isophthalic acid and/or its deriv.(b), and 0.2-6mol% of carboxylic acid or its deriv. containing sulfonic acid group and/or its salt group (c), 0.5-8mol% of tervalent or higher valent carboxylic acid and/or its deriv.(d). The main constitutional component of the binder resin is polyvalent carboxylic acid containing >80mol% total of (a) and (b) and a polyester resin obtd. from polyhydric alcohol containing 2-100 mol% of diol expressed by formula I or its deriv. In formula I, R1-R3 are independently H, CH3, or C2H5.</p> |
