CONNECTING APPARATUS FOR TAPES

The apparatus automatically connects a terminated end of a tape with an end of another tape in the process of a taping step for coating copper wire. The apparatus comprises a tape pad changing part (6) including two tape pad holder (2,2'), a cylinder (3), a rack (4) and pinion (5); guide rollers (8.8') feeding tapes (A,B); a lower roller (10) having a hook pin (9) and positioned between the guide rollers (8,8'); an upper roller (12) moving up and down by a pneumatic cylinder (11); a spur gear (13) positioned at one side of the upper roller (12); a cutter (14) positioned at the rear part of the guide roller (8) and cutting the remains of the terminated tape end.
