The invention relates to an information transmission system using a frequency-shift method. In such a system, in which information arriving from a data input (DSE), and reaching a sending/receiving apparatus (S/E) after passing through an intermediate memory (SSP) are sent to a sending/receiving apparatus (S/E) linked to a reception memory (ESP) and exiting at a data exit (DSA), the transmission of information is carried out in simplex mode, whereas, between the transmitted information blocks, a reception acknowledgement signal is sent, for the purposes of the automatic repetition of one or more corrupted blocks, which may possibly be necessary, depending on conditions.
