PURPOSE:To provide the information storage and transmission device which can electronically add information required for classifying or discriminating postal matters and can be easily utilized for the classification or for acquiring the information. CONSTITUTION:This device can attach the attribute information of the postal matter so as to transmit the information to the other machine by receiving digital information from the outside at a reception part (receiving means for digital information) 1, judging the information at a CPU 2, storing it in a memory part 3, extracting the information or already stored information from the memory part 3, transmitting the information to a transmission part (transmitting means for information) 4 and transmitting it to the outside.
