PURPOSE:To make the signals detour when the disconnection occurs in a CATV network. CONSTITUTION:The alternative lines 11 and 12 are led out at the middle points of at least two coaxial trunk lines 3A and 3B in a branch-shaped CATV network. Then the coaxial alternative lines 11a and 11b of the line 11 and the coaxial alternative lines 12 and 12b of the line 12 are usually connected directly to each other via the direct connection lines 21 and 22 included in a linkage repeater 10 respectively. When one of both signals flowing through the lines 21 and 22 is stopped, the disconnection of one of both lines 3A and 3B (3B in this case) is decided. Thus the downstream sides of both lines 3A and 3B are connected to each other through a circuit control part 16. Then the signals of the normal line 3B are supplied to the downstream sides of the lines 3A and 3B. |
