PURPOSE:To provide stable and clear dot configuration by making a semiconductor laser emit light with intensity modulation rectangular wave signal modulated by a specified reference signal. CONSTITUTION:An analogue picture element density signal synchronous with a picture element clock DCK which goes through a D/A converter 301 is supplied to a differential amplifier 302's inversion terminal whose normal terminal is provided with a reference signal RS of required duty rectangular wave corresponding to a reference wave generator 304's setting. Then, an intensity modulation rectangular wave signal DAS modulated with signal RS is generated by the amplifier 302, and so the light emission of a semiconductor laser 31 is controlled. Thus beam emitted by the laser 31's enters into a photodetector so as to form the image with stable and clear dot configuration. |
