PURPOSE:To form reinforcing bodies in such a manner as not to generate bubbles in hot melt adhesive layers at the time of forming the reinforcing bodies at the connecting point of optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:A flat planar 'ImvarR' alloy 1 which is provided with the hot melt adhesive layer 3-1 at the thickness largest at the center and gradually smaller toward both ends and flat planar glass ceramics 2 which is provided with the hot melt adhesive layer 3-2 at a uniform thickness are used as the reinforcing materials. These reinforcing materials are disposed on both sides of the connecting point 11 of the optical fibers. The flat planar 'ImvarR' alloy 1 is mounted to an induction heating head 4 and the flat planar glass ceramics 2 is mounted to a base. The hot melt adhesive layers 3 are then melted and integrated by induction heating. |
