PURPOSE:To easily emit the pulse laser beams at a less beam expansion by a method wherein the laser beams are initially emitted by performing the auxiliary pumping next, after the proper lapse of time, the main pumping in the intensity higher than that of the auxiliary pumping is performed to emit the laser beams in the intensity higher than that in the auxiliary pumping. CONSTITUTION:Within a pulse laser device 1, a laser medium 3 held by two resonators 2, 2 is subjected, through photo-excitation or electron-collision, etc., to initial (auxiliary) pumping A for emitting an auxiliary pulse laser beams. Next, after the proper lapse of time since this auxiliary pumping, main pumping B is performed to induction-emit an auxiliary pulse laser beams in the inversion distribution formed by the main pumping so that the pulse laser beams C at the less beam expansion than that of the pulse laser beams emitted by the initial pumping may be emitted. |
