PURPOSE:To save labor for changing a style to the table of contents(TOC) and to improve the efficiency of a document preparation processing by setting the style to each item of an extracted TOC line and preparing the TOC on this set condition. CONSTITUTION:A TOC extraction part 5 extracts the line to be the TOC (TOC line) from document data prepared by a document preparation part 4 for preparing the TOC. A TOC setting part 6 sets the style such as the size, downward shift and modification or the like of characters to each item of the extracted TOC line. In this way, the style of the TOC line can be freely set. Thus, when it is desired to change the style to the TOC prepared in the same style as the TOC line, the labor for a document preparing person to change the style to each TOC line can be saved. Therefore, the efficiency of the document preparation processing can be improved. |
