PURPOSE:To expand even image data corresponding to a complicate pattern on an image memory at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:This pattern generation device which writes data in the image memory according to design data on a pattern A, and reads data for the pattern A out of the image memory and outputs them, divides the image memory into storage areas specified with X and Y addresses corresponding to pixels arrayed in two dimensions and writes the linear length XL of the pattern A in the storage area corresponding to the pixels on the left side of the pattern A among the pixels arrayed in two dimensions. |
