PURPOSE:To enable rhythm performance which is rich in variation. CONSTITUTION:When a program switch PROG is turned ON to set a mode signal PROG to '1', an optical pattern can be programmed on a rhythm pattern memory 12 by operating a keyboard 14. Then when a play switch PLY is turned ON to set a mode signal PLAY to '1', the rhythm pattern is read out of the memory 12 according to the output CDB of a counter 22 and then a rhythm sound source circuit 16 automatically generates a rhythm sound signal. At this time, hand percussion is possible by driving the rhythm sound source circuit 16 with keying data KDA from the keyboard 14. When the hand percussion is used in combination, the programmed rhythm performance is given a variation. |
