PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the information stored in a recording medium and to surely process the information by recording the magnetic information and the visible code information to the recording medium and processing the information to the recording medium based on the code information if the magnetic information cannot be read. CONSTITUTION:The application information and the remaining amount of a card 11 used for an automatic ticket examining device are recorded onto the card 11 in two types of forms, i.e., the magnetic information and the visible bar code information. If the magnetic information cannot be read by some reason, the bar code information is used instead so that the application information and the remaining amount of the card 11 can be read. In such a constitution, the information recorded on the card 11 can be surely read and the smooth processing is carried out to the card 11. Furthermore the reliability of the information stored in the card 11 can be extremely improved since the information to be stored in the card 11 are stored in two types of forms. |
