Controlling solenoid valves in fuel injection system - calculating control signal from stored factor depending on measured engine parameters

The solenoid valve control method determines a valve setting (EI) from a stored factor (PKI) that is chosen w.r.t. at least one measured parameter. Each valve of a multi-cylinder engine has its setting separately calculated with a respective factor. The valve settings are multiplied by their associated factor to produce a resulting control signal. Pref. the measured parameters consist of fuel injection timing data such as start and duration. ADVANTAGE - Irregularities in fuel injection can be quickly and easily corrected.
