A process for producing a hollow component made of plastic, esp. a floating component for landing points, includes placing the plastic in a dividable mould and then inflating it like a balloon, against the inner mould walls, using a gas pipe. The plastic is a recycling lump, which is slightly compressed when the mould is closed. The gas pipe and a ventilation pipe are pushed into the plastic after the mould has been closed. After inflation and after the moulding has solidified, cool air is blown in while maintaining the pressure in the moulding. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is simple and economical, and the components are used for maritime purposes.
