The lighting unit is cascadable so that a number of such units can be looped together. An adapter (4) carries an incandescent bulb (2) in a socket and comprises a press fit within a main sleeve (5) formed on a housing (7) end cap (10). Two end caps (10, 11) fit over the open ends of a cylindrical section housing of coloured light transmitting material. The adapter has connecting leads (14) to other units. USE/ADVANTAGE - For decorative or festive purposes. Sealed housing, simple to interconnect.
