Distributor moving containers onto different tracks - has horizontally rotating star with circumferentially spaced grippers moving radially outwards

The distributor has a transporter (10) which feeds the container (11) in a single track to a horizontally rotating star wheel (12). The circumferentially spaced grippers (13) each seize the leading incoming container (11) and pass it over a multi-track conveyor (14) running tangentially to the star where the container is released. The grippers are moved in the release area into definite radial positions through at least one guide (15, 16) such as a clam plate which holds the grippers in the release are on a definite revolving track. ADVANTAGE - The grippers can be provided in the rotary star in several planes to allow for different container sizes.
