A plane enclosing an engagement surface (S) of each clutch tooth part intersects a centreline (y) of the clutch body at a point extending inside a contact area of the tooth engagement in one direction of the clutch movement. A radial line segment which passes through the point of intersection is positioned inside the contact engagement area of the teeth. The contact face of each clutch tooth part is positioned at an optimum place so that the contact surface is increased to cut down wear. ADVANTAGE - Allows continuous accurate operation of the claw clutch.
