The desk has two telescopic legs (4) topped by a flange (22) which receives a fixing screw of the trough (6). A cable duct is laid in the back of the trough. The surface (8) of the desk can be shifted horizontally over the trough for access to the cable duct. A removable crank handle (62) operates a toothed belt drive to two threaded spindles within the legs (4) which function in synchronism to raise or lower the trough. ADVANTAGE - Desk can be dismantled quickly into compact components without disassembly of height adjustment mechanism.
