The invention relates to a distribution head for modular fibre-optic cables (1), the said cable distribution head consisting of a casing comprising at least one cable entry (4), at least one spreader subassembly (6), at least one splicing organiser (7) allowing the arrangement and/or splicing of the said optical fibres, and at least one connection deck (8), characterised in that the said splicing organiser (7) and the said connection deck (8) are fixed close to each other on the same support which is mounted so as to move by guidance on the said casing in such a way as to minimise the length of the optical fibres between the spreader subassembly (6) and the splicing organiser, on the one hand, and the splicing organiser and the connection deck (8) on the other hand, whilst respecting the minimum radius of curvature of the optical fibres. <IMAGE>
