A dye transfer inhibiting compositions are disclosed, comprising : A. an iron catalyst selected from a) iron porphin and water-soluble or water-dispersable derivatives thereof; b) iron porphyrin and water-soluble or water-dispersable derivatives thereof; c) iron phthalocyanine and water-soluble or water-dispersable derivatives thereof; B. an enzymatic system capable of generating hydrogen peroxide.
